FYI: This is an indoor shuffleboard game. 

When I saw this item, it brought back a flood of memories from my childhood. I grew up with a table similar to this in my basement. Ours was perhaps a little sturdier as it was originally housed in a bar and also had an electric scoreboard.

I was fascinated by the game, but seldom allowed to play. My father was concerned that we would drop the pucks on the table, potentially leaving dents in the wood. The memories of playing the game are cherished, and the few times I’ve seen a table I always want to play. 

We grew up, life changed, and my father rented the house out and sold the table before the renters moved in. 

We learn lessons from our past. The takeaway for me is to enjoy what I have; not to put things away and save them for “someday.”
